As some of you may not know I have Type 1 diabetes.Type 1 diabetes is not the type that you get from eating too much sugar.That is Type 2 diabetes.But Type 1 diabetes usually happens to kids.That's why it is also called Juvenile Diabetes.I got diagnosed when I was 3.And I have had it for 8 years.Or it will be 8 on October 4th.Juvenile Diabetes is a serious disease.Everytime before I eat I have to do something called a glucometer check(But I call it a fingerstick.I named it that when I was 3.)I have to prick my finger so blood comes out then i put the blood on the stick and it shows me a number.That number is how much sugar is in my blood(my blood sugar).The average number for me is between 80-140.It is really hard to control my blood sugars.Even though I have the pump.(To find out more about the pump scroll down.)

The pump for diabetes is a miracle!It's like a second pancreas for people with diabetes.So there's insuling in this little tube thing and when I eat something I put in my blood sugar and how many carbs I'm eating and it gives me inculin.The insulin travels thru a tube into the needle and into my body.Yes I know,disgusting!But it keeps me alive!
